Your past customers
are your cheapest growth channel.
Most businesses spend every dollar chasing strangers while their own buyer list sits silent. We run iMessage reactivation campaigns that bring past customers and dormant prospects back, with their consent, in a channel they actually read.
The concept
A message from a business you already bought from gets read. A cold ad gets scrolled past.
Customer reactivation is simple: identify people who already know you, and give them a reason to buy again. These are past customers, people who requested a quote and went quiet, renters or buyers who finished a transaction with you months ago. They trusted you once. That trust has an expiration date, and every month of silence shortens it. It is also the highest-ROI marketing most businesses ignore, because the relationship already exists.
iMessage is the delivery vehicle because it lands where attention lives. In past campaigns we have observed open rates around 97%, a number email will never touch. To be clear, that is an observed past result, not a promise: rates vary by list, offer, and market. But a message in the thread of a known sender outperforms a cold inbox every time.
Consent and compliance
No consent, no send. That is the whole policy.
Every person we message has opted in, or we do not touch the number. Opt-in can come from a purchase, a form submission, a written request, or an explicit text opt-in. What matters is a real relationship: the person would recognize your business name.
We also keep sends tight: one well-crafted message beats ten nagging ones. Every campaign includes a clear opt-out path, honored immediately and permanently.
- Opt-in or prior relationship required for every contact
- Clear opt-out in every campaign, honored on the first request
- No purchased lists, no scraped numbers, no rented databases
- No deceptive sender names or misleading offers
- Send frequency capped so lists stay warm, not burned
What we will not do: blast purchased lists, spam random numbers, impersonate a brand, or trick people into responding. Those tactics burn sender reputation and destroy the trust that makes reactivation work.
Platform realities
Honest about what iMessage can and cannot do.
iMessage delivers to Apple devices only: iPhones, iPads, and Macs. If a contact's number is registered with iMessage, the message arrives as a blue bubble with read receipts, rich media, and tapbacks. If it is not, the same message falls back to SMS on that device, plain green text. We do not promise universal delivery, and neither should anyone. Reach depends on the device mix of your list, carrier conditions, and Apple’s own spam and abuse filters.
Sender identity matters. Messages go out from a recognizable sender tied to your business name and number. We do not mask identities or spoof numbers. We manage list hygiene (dead numbers removed before sending), pacing (throttled sends), and content quality (messages that read like a human).
One more honest note: no one can guarantee open or response rates. Apple does not publish deliverability data, and any vendor promising a specific number is guessing. We engineer every variable we control and measure the results openly.
The process
Seven steps, in order, every time.
1. List audit. We review what you have: past customers, quote requests, closed deals, event signups. We score the list for freshness, completeness, and consent basis. Old, stale, or undocumented lists get cleaned or cut.
2. Segmentation. A buyer from last month is not the same as a quote request from two years ago. We split the list by recency, value, and relationship type so each group gets a message that fits.
3. Message strategy. We decide the angle for each segment: a check-in, a limited offer, a new service announcement, a reminder of value. The strategy comes from your numbers, not from a template library.
4. Copy. Short, human, specific. One idea per message. Signed by the business. We write it, you approve it. Nothing sends without your sign-off.
5. Send. Paced, monitored sends from your recognized sender identity. We watch delivery patterns and pause anything that looks off.
6. Response handling. This is where most campaigns die: replies come in and nobody answers. Whether it is your team, our operators, or a split, every reply gets a fast answer.
7. Measurement. Opens where visible, replies, conversions, revenue per send. You get the numbers, clean and complete, so you know exactly what the campaign produced.
What good results look like
Real numbers from a real first round.
A real estate brokerage brought us their past client and prospect list. In their first iMessage round, 13 rentals and 1 sale closed from reactivated contacts: people who already knew the brokerage and got the right message at the right time.
We will not tell you that result is typical, because every business is different: list quality, offer, market, and response handling all move the number. But a well-run campaign to a consented list of past customers is consistently one of the cheapest sources of revenue we have worked with.
Good results also mean a list that still works after the campaign. We protect your sender reputation and customer relationships, so the second and third campaigns perform instead of flaming out.
Questions, answered
Do the people on my list have to opt in again?
A purchase, quote request, or other real relationship is a valid consent basis. If your list is old, purchased, or scraped, we will not send to it. We audit consent before the first send.
Will this work for Android users on my list?
Android devices receive the message as SMS rather than iMessage: it still lands in their text inbox, but without read receipts and rich tapbacks. We segment and report by platform where it matters.
How big does my list need to be?
No hard minimum, but a few hundred past customers or prospects is usually enough to justify a first round. Smaller than that, a personal phone call may beat a campaign. We will tell you honestly which fits.
Can you guarantee a specific open or response rate?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. We have observed open rates around 97% in past campaigns, but results depend on your list, your offer, and your market. We engineer every variable we control and report everything we measure.
Who handles the replies?
Whichever you prefer. We can route replies to your team, handle them with our own operators, or set up a split. The one non-negotiable: replies get answered fast. An unanswered reply is a burned lead.
Is this the same as spam texting?
No. Spam is unsolicited mass texting to people who never asked to hear from you. Reactivation is messaging people who already know your business, with their consent, with a clear opt-out. That difference is the entire business model.
